Don't Always Believe Negative Reviews
So many people write negative reviews about this ship and i'm here to tell you the reviews are wrong. i have sailed on the sunrise 4 previous times and this trip was the best. i'll start with embarkation which was a breeze. Cabin next: oceanview on deck 2 and upon arrival the cabin was super clean - beds were split as requested and our cabin steward was amazing ! I can't say a bad thing about our cabin or harold our steward who catered to all our requests. lets talk food- not one bad meal ! i mean come on there can always be a hit or miss meal but not this trip. From the steak house to mdr- guys burgers-blue iguana-and pizza every thing was perfect including service. now the shows. Amazing all of them ! casino was good too. sunrise-you've re-won my heart :) lets go ! Again

First Carnival Cruise!
This was my second cruise.. first one on Princess. Great time. Only thing I think people need to be aware of is thaf there is a 15-18% service charge applied to all purchases when using your sign and sail card. Those charges add up quick! The embarkation process is relafively easy. The staff was great and there is something to do for everyone on the Carnival ship. If you want fun choose Carnival. There were a lot of kids on the cruise I went on but there was a Serenity deck for adults to relax. Only con I can say is the marijuana smell throughout somw of the ship - usually on port days when guets feel everyone is gone off the ship. If you want to use the hot tub get up really early or try on port days as it is hard to find a spot open. Will cruise again.

Great first cruise for multi generation family
This was our first cruise. My husband and I are in our 60's and our daughter her husband and 5 kids from 22 down to 15 sailed with us. The girls loved the O2 club for teens. We stayed in interior stateroom one floor below Lido deck. This was very convenient from eating at the buffet on the Lida deck. Food was awesome. We eat several wonderful dinners with entertainment at the Sunshine restaurant but be warned it's very rocky in that section and one night two of our dinner party left seasick. The rooms were 2-4 per room and I loved them. They were snug and cozy. The 4 teen girls shared a room and my husband, and I shared with our 22-year-old grandson. You could feel the motors vibrating under the bathroom floor. I got used to this. I loved the mega Tron TV over the pool. This was a wonderful first cruise and we will use Carnival again.
