Celebrity Retreat Was Excellent

I had read that the service in the Retreat area was good, but, the special treatment we got was beyond my expectations! I had cruised with Oceania in the past, and the treatment we got in the Retreat was every bit as good. Also, the food was fantastic. As good as Oceania? Not quite, but everything else was comparable, and the entertainment was better. My only real complaint is that the Sky Suite was a suite in name only. It would more accurately be called a premium room. Would I sail Celebrity again? Absolutely, but only in the Retreat. And I think I would upgrade and book a Celebrity Suite so that the cabin would be a true suite as advertised. Our waiter in the Retreat dining room, Hernando, was as good as any waiter I’ve had in a 5* restaurant. He was attentive and met our every need. Overall, my experience exceeded expectations

All in all the cruise and staff are outstanding!

The cruise directer is hardly visible. No announcement about the change of time or the white party. How many people read that stupid piece of paper in your room to learn about the time changes! Sometimes the little things matter alot! I went.to Qsine for a continental breakfast, only to find that i was one hour early. I then went to the Cafe al bacio and have a coffee while i waited. The quality of food at dinner is outstanding. I was going to book a meal at the steakhouse. But didnt want to miss a meal at the main dining room. The staff was super attentive. And ever repeated the spinach salad that loved so much the first day. I never get tired of the design of their ships. I must find out who designs these beautiful vessels!Still my favorite cruise line by far! My hat off to celebrity!

iMessage worked at sea without wifi package.

iMessage worked from ships wifi(without having wifi package) I was actually able to communicate with my son at home from the ship when at sea. (As long as you had the celebrity app running in the background) Awesome cruise. The food was always good. The shows were very good. Lots of entertainment. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful. The cabin was a little small but we made do with the space we had but we loved our balcony on the 9th floor in concierge section(right below ocean view cafe) it is very convenient to go get a morning coffee or evening snack after the show. This was our 3rd cruise with celebrity so we have a bit of experience on how to choose a room or planning our days in ports. You don’t need to be rich to go on a cruise, you just need to prioritize what you spend on.

3rd Time Was A Charm!

Our 3rd January in a row on CONNIE and found it to be the best! Both food & entertainment were exceptional. Lucky enough to score cabin with an X-large balcony (which we both spent a lot of time on) Though it’s fully covered, a lot of sun comes in so don’t think it’s dark in any way. We immediately requested two lounge chairs and a mattress topper, both of which were delivered promptly. The afternoon snacks delivered to the room improved since last year-the sushi and stuffed grape leaves were a nice surprise. Breakfast in the room every day was always on time and the coffee was very hot. The lunch buffet items were also vey impressive and improved. The carving station with prime rib and mountains of shrimp (one day) are good examples. Dinner was fabulous as usual. All crew members and staff were super friendly and made you feel at home. The new rolling bar, drinks delivered to your deck chair and bars on the pool deck guaranteed a quick drink which is always fun. There were several younger guests and families on board which was nice to see. A truly wonderful experience.
