Best cruise line I’ve ever been on.
This was hands down the best cruise I’ve ever been on. I sailed with a handful of various others and just figured that cruising wasn’t my thing and I’d never go on another. After some time I was convinced to try Virgin and I was not disappointed. From the room to the service to the food everything was practically spot on. I’m already in the process of booking my next voyage. I don’t have many critiques other than a couple of the restaurants on board were just okay such as Gunbae. While Korean BBQ is fun it’s always iffy when you are sat with strangers and the food just wasn’t all that great. My only other “complaint” was that the view from Richard’s Rooftop was blocked by the glass being painted which took away from what would otherwise be breathtaking views. With that being said, I have been gathering friends to sail again next year.

First Time Virgin Cruisers
My wife and I just got back from our first Virgin cruise and I must say we had a very nice time aboard the Scarlet Lady. We had previously cruised on other cruise lines and we wanted to give Virgin a try since they have no kids on board. The quality of food on the ship was very good especially Pink Agave which was our favorite. The Wake was also very good for dinner and we did brunch there as well (twice). The entertainment was very good and we spent more than a few nights at On The Rocks listening to the singers they had on board. The Blues singer was our favorite. We had a lot of laughs at Bingo with the Diva which was very popular with the other cruisers on board as well. The pool party at Bimini was a lot of fun with the cast members providing the entertainment. My wife and I enjoyed our first time experience so much with Virgin that we already booked a cruise to Greece in 2026.

Overall Great First Virgin Voyages Cruise
This was our first cruise with Virgin Voyages (we’ve done other cruise lines). Our group was six adult family members, two of which were advanced seniors. Overall experience was great! Pros outweighed cons. Cons were small pool sizes - pools got pretty crowded. The pros were plentiful! The food quality and versatile dining experience was just fabulous! Props and a big thank you to Shane, an asst. food manager and amazing host at The Test Kitchen, and Liezelle, our outstanding waitress and server – she made us feel so welcomed! All the folks working on the Scarlet Lady were nice. From the Galley to the entertainment. Cecil, the ship’s stage vocalist, was a total WOW! What a voice! Our room stewards were all good. Kudos to the designer that realized showers need hot water and water pressure – Scarlet Lady was the best ever! Lastly, we really enjoyed Scarlet Night! Be sure to bring something red to wear! A great cruise for adults that don't travel with children.

Adults only at it's best!
The ship is in great condition to be the original. It went through a quick refresh drydock in November 2024. Lucky Lotus by Razzle Dazzle is a hit and the updated menu is a vast improvement. Crew are helpful and try to make your experience better. Having sodas, internet, and tips included is a wonderful feature that other lines simply don't offer unless it's a luxury line. Premium dining being included is also a great feature that other lines charge extra for. It's great being on a cruise without feeling like you'll be hassled into making unnecessary purchases such as photos. The line doesn't have photographers, directors, and unless sales pitches which is great, you can board and do as you please. Adults only is great because at the end of the day everyone behaves like adults. This line also has no dress code. Don't worry though, everyone is still appropriately dressed in something.
