Once in a lifetime! Fabulous stops, great service.
Great trip, suggest getting the best room you can afford. For us, the benefits of the suite are a premier luxury in pampering. Super service on the ship: excellent attention from staff. Fabulous food (much due to the perks of staying in the suite: special access to premium restaurants). Appreciated expeditious getting on and off ship. Definitely a perk for this once in a lifetime trip-literally. Best excursion: CARTAGENA (Colombia) SIGHTS, GETSEMANI AND RYTHMS, So-so: Eco DelMar VIP Beach in Cabo Rojo DR; Do not waste your $$ on Two Oceans by Railroad in Panama. Spent half the time of our >$250 tour shopping!! Loved the live music at the pool as well as the super funny comedian on board (Aurora Singh). Have never laughed so much. We did however miss her “adults only” act a few nights later- the “family friendly” was risqué enough for me. Stardust theater had TERRIBLE seats, very uncomfortable and too low to rise from easily. Otherwise we would have taken in more shows. (Note: we are seniors with some mobility limitations). Medium sized ship was a sufficient challenge for me to get around, however we did see many other cruisers in wheelchairs, scooters, canes, etc. I personally will never go on a larger ship. Very few children due to 2 weeks during school.

Pacific Coast Wine Cruise on the NCL Jewel
This was my second sailing on the Jewel. I absolutely love the smaller ships. They offered wonderful restaurants, staffing was fantastic and the itinerary was a repositioning cruise. The places we visited made the cruise even better on the west coast of North America. If this cruise was ever offered again, on a small ship, I would definitely sign up for it. Getting around on the Jewel was very easy. Meeting other solo members was easy given the excellent solo program NCL has. Meeting others traveling solo was made easy due to this. Some of the same crew, from my July cruise, were still onboard. They actually remembered me, which made this cruise even more special. The crew does make you feel special no matter what your status is. I made some great friends on this cruise whom I’m still in touch with. I highly recommend cruising on the Jewel.

Alaska is amazing!
Awesome cruise (my first). Room was awesome, service was impeccable, food was great and the overall experience was amazing. We were the last cruise of the season so there were pros and cons to that but nothing that would stop me from trying this one again. The train in Skagway was amazing. Glaciers were stunning. Highly recommend the pub crawl in Ketchikan (adorable young married couple were the tour guides). Definitely recommend purchasing the priority boarding for ease of embarking and disembarking. No hassles at all. I wouldn't recommend less than 9 days for sure - I would have liked more but that is because I was actually able to relax and forget about work for once! If you like warm and sitting by the pool, this isn't the cruise for you. I personally, loved the weather - the glaciers would not been a magical if it wasn't for some flurries. They gave us blankets and hot spiced wine, Perfection!

A jewel of a time on the Jewel
This was our first cruise on NCL. Previously on Royal Caribbean. Everything about this cruise was excellent. From making the reservation all the way to the disembarkation process it was one of the best experiences we had. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and that the Jewel was not a mega ship. Although it was sold out, we never experienced overcrowding, long waits for elevators, trouble finding a table at the buffet or comfortable chairs in the observation lounge. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent. We did miss one port due to weather but the Captain told us that if we didn’t skip Icy Strait we would run into 6-8 meter seas on the way home. Thumbs up for his concern for our safety and comfort. As a result, we did get to spend an entire day in Victoria which was an amazing experience
