The Panama Canal
Great ship did not feel crowded Food and service were outstanding Evening shows rivaled Broadway for the most part Great ports The Panama Canal is a great experience I would not get off the ship in Colon / Panama City as you miss parts of the canal Cartagena I was interesting Bonaire and the Celeb excursion to the Beach were great The tour guide Josie was spectacular most informative The snorkeling in Bonaire is second to none Aruba went to Eagle Beach by cab 4.5KM from the ship Don’t go to COCO Loco for chairs and umbrella It took over 30 minutes and it was $50- cash for 2 chairs and an umbrella There Are other vendors I would go to them Taxi service is easy and cheap Eagle Beach is wide uncrowded with people not on top of one another Best beach on the island Grand Cayman is a nice high end shopping experience Seven mile beach is great use Resorts for the Day to get a lux hotel experience Overall one of the best cruises we have taken

Excellent Cruise
The check in process was super easy and we didn’t have to wait in any lines! Celebrity had staff all over to help people with every step of embarking. All Celebrity staff spoke to us and asked if we needed help. Our cabin steward was kind, attentive, friendly and very professional. The ocean view cafe had very nice handwashing stations (touch-less). The cafe staff was very polite and efficient and they all spoke to us. The Food was slightly above average and the cafe was layed out very well. Lots of variety! Rooftop garden was clean, very comfortable and a great place to relax. Solarium was very nice but too hot with little air movement. The spa was very clean and modern. We had pedi’s and they did a good job but it was a little pricey. The shopping was disappointing. There is no shop dedicated to selling only souvenirs/fun Celebrity gifts.

Amazing and Fabulous
We just got back from an amazing cruise. Right from embankment, our Aqua Class stateroom, food, drinks, entertainment, captain and crew, all the amazing staff serving food, drinks, cleaning , taking care of our room and disembarking. I really don’t have anything negative to say. Our Blu restaurant was perfect in every way from staff to food and drinks. They treated us all like we were the only ones on their ship. We had an incredible experience at Eden restaurant as well. The food was delicious and service impeccable. We ate most lunches at the buffet and honestly the food was great, a wonderful variety and the service again was amazing for such a busy place. The burger and hotdog place by pool was fresh and delicious too for such a simple meal. The entertainment “wowed” us. It was so energizing and the variety kept you coming back. Don’t miss seeing captain Kirk’s band if he is your captain. He is a very talented man. You won’t want to miss it. Our cabin was Aqua Class with the infinity balcony and we did like it. I do realize it isn’t for everyone, but we liked the extra room we can use for a bit more storage. The big window is nice to see out of whether it is up or down. We chose Aqua Class specifically for the Blu restaurant but also other little perks such as entry into the spa where we enjoyed the thermal beds and the steam rooms, etc. It also allowed us to watch the entry and exit to the Panama Canal locks at the front of the ship as that is where the spa is located. That was an amazing experience. Would I change anything? Absolutely NOT. But I also think that a positive, un-entitled attitude will help you have a great time. Be kind to the hard working staff and let them know how much they are appreciated. They work hard to make sure we are having a great time. Respect is a two way street. Treat them and each other like you want to be treated. Remember how blessed you are to be cruising/vacationing.

Our new favorite ship - Our new favorite captain
We have been cruising since the 1970's. The Celebrity Beyond is our new favorite ship. Captain "Kirk" is our new favorite captain. However, this ship is not for everyone. No water slides, no climbing wall, no go-cart track. The Beyond does have a well-used two-level walking track. The Beyond also has an amazing experience on a beautiful ship with very nice, mature, adult people. My wife's first comment was how clean the ship was. One of our surprises was the veranda. I am a little amused by another review. Yes, there is a glass wall rather than a railing on the outside of the veranda, however, the upper half of the glass wall comes down to railing level. There is also a wall-wide privacy screen that comes down. Toward the "inside" of the veranda there are folding French doors. Thus the "veranda" is a multi-purpose room, window up it expands the room making veranda area an expanded sitting room for the interior of the cabin (a WOW!). As to food, we liked the Cyprus Mediterranean restaurant, the Cosmopolitan for leisurely at-sea breakfasts, the pool deck cafeteria (there was a daily selection of three fresh-cut roasts), and beside the Eden area there is a small cafe with the best desserts on the ship. Most of the deserts are European style with less sugar* than found in US restaurants. With a small amount of effort, sugar junkies can put some ice cream and honey on it. *The Eden cafe brownies were fully loaded with double sugar. Our room steward was cordial and attentive. Our cruise included a port in South America (As expected from past experience we got a caution from our tour guide - be vigilant..) Aruba was once again disappointing. The back roads to the lighthouse, natural bridge, and elsewhere were severely rutted. The bus rolled violently. If you have neck or back issues avoid inland tours on Aruba. (One would think that the Aruban government would make some effort to improve these roads.) We loved both Bonaire and Curacao (with private Tuk Tuk ride) and plan to return for on-shore visits. The shipboard entertainment started a bit slow but improved dramatically as each day passed culminating with a stellar performance by Captain "Kirk".
