For constant pizza, the kind you can get at any hour of the day, you can't go wrong when travelling with Carnival Cruise Lines.

Visit Pizzeria del Capitano or Pizza Pirate and you can enjoy the kind of fast food that you (or I) often dream about - luscious pizza served up by the slice 24 hours a day, all included in your cruise fare... hmmmmm. If you want a pizza the action Carnival Pride sails from the UK this summer on a selection of dates.

Did you know that on Italian cruise line MSC's Meraviglia and Virtuosa, guests can watch as chefs make fresh Mozzarella through an open fronted kitchen? They have an onboard Mozzarella factory and make pizzas by hand, which are then devoured in the free buffet restaurant!

Alternatively if you're aboard the MSC Preziosa or Divina, you can head to the Eataly Pizzeria: a pizzeria in the finest Neapolitan tradition.

The secret is in the high-quality, authentic ingredients used and the slow-rising natural sourdough, apparently. Our taste buds are tingling! MSC Virtuosa is cruising from Southampton for Summer 2022!

If you head off on a Princess cruise, time and again we hear great things about Alfredo's- a fantastic free pizza restaurant that again is included in your cruise fare! Pizzas made fresh here always score highly on customer ratings.

Named after the former Master Chef for Princess cruises, Alfredo Marzi, these hand tossed, personal pizzas, washed down with a beer or other refreshing beverage, were voted 'Best Pizza at Sea' by USA Today.

If you're talking about pizza (and we are) then Sorrento's, Royal Caribbean's tribute to Italy's national delicacy, is always in the frame! Found on many of their ships located on the Royal Promenade, this is a great option. By the slice, this is one busy pizza place as the night's entertainment calms down and hungry patrons go in search of sustenance.

With plenty of options on the menu, the queue often stretches out of the door from the counter, around the corner and down the promenade, boosted by the wafting cheesy aromas!

You can visit Sorrento's by booking a cruise on an Oasis Class or Quantum Class ship, which are amazing in their own right for all the entertainment, food and adventures you can have! Symphony of the Seas sales from Barcelona and Southampton hosts the Anthem of the Seas in 2022

You can also find a great pizza on Cunard, hidden away in the King's Court Buffet and made to order, or for a six star pizza offering that always has great reviews, try Spaccanapoli on Silversea Cruise line, but the truth is, if food plays a big part in your holiday decisions, you can't go wrong if you book a cruise!

With literally hundreds of different gastronomic delights afloat, from Sushi and Teppanyaki to Steak Houses, Asian Fusion, Healthy Eating and Heston Blumenthal style science and wonder, on to burger joints and ice cream parlours, through to almost Michelin starred offerings (it won't be long before someone captures that accolade at sea), when you choose to take a cruise, you will be choosing to spoil yourself, and your tastebuds - even if they only crave pizza!
