2-5 Cruises: 30s

February 2025

Just got back from a five night cruise on enchantment of the seas, this was of 5th cruise we've been on Princess Celebrity, and Royal. I read reviews before we left and had some reservations about this old ship. I can say I was pleasantly surprised. We opted for an ocean view room, first time we have taken a cruise without taking a suite with a balcony we never used the balcony so we thought we try an ocean view, it was small but fine. The service on this ship was probably the best we've ever experienced honestly just sit for 5 mins someone will come by and ask you if you need anything, and even if you do go to one of the many bars you won't wait long. We found no matter where we went there was always ample seats, theater, scooners Bolaros, spotlight lounge always plenty of staff on hand. The food was ok not the greatest, we tried Windjammer once for lunch we found it a little chaotic and tables needing cleaned, my advice go to my fair lady for breakfast and lunch, more civilized food brought to you starter main and desert. As for the ship we've been on The Ruby with Princess The Harmony of the Seas celebrity, and Enquinox again celebrity tbh this ship is older but I never really noticed a huge gulf in standards, lastly I loved this ship because no matter the time of day there was always tons of sun loungers, so sleep late without fear there will be no sun beds, not on this ship, staff 5 of out of 5 food 3.5 of out 5 ship loved it 5 out of 5

The one love

If you have never been on a cruise, you should go, it is a magical experience, food as far as the eye can see, the service is splendid, you sing, you dance and they have many attractions. Really Royal Caribbean is at a level that you will not be disappointed in. The chill zone was at the Boleros, with my favorite band, Populart, Que viva Cali! The karaoky was the bomb. If you have make reservations in the fair lady restaurant, the servers all are fenomenal, but Dyan and JinLiu are the best of the best! The shops are good if your looking for something specific, and also the cassino is always full. The food at the Cafe is good , they have Italian, American, Korean, Indian, and Carribian dishes, a little bit of everything for everyone, also great desserts. The best greater that I meet in my life, Phibie kaibigan

Good food & happy, friendly crew.

Very good food. Best donuts in almost 100 cruises! Really high energy fun house band, Vybes4. Booked a b2b for January. Crew was friendly & happy. The ship is older & I wish RCCL would do more maintenance in the public areas but the ship was clean. Everyone on the ship was in a good mood & nice to each other. Theater shows were good & so was a magician. I wish they had more recent movies but they were cute & entertaining. These smaller ships are not for teenagers & the families with little kids seemed to enjoy the activities. The food in the MDR was excellent & the WJ had a nice variety at every meal. We had been on 6 other RCCL ships since COVID & I was beginning to think the food was awful but this showed me it depends on the Head Chef. We are looking forward to our next cruise on Enchantment.

Great time!

It was a GREAT cruise!! One of the best in a while. Yes, there were a few glitches… starting with… Coast Guard inspection delayed boarding – we didn’t get on until after 2 PM. Immigration - just know that if you book a cruise that includes a US city as a stop after you’ve gone to another country, you MUST go through Customs before leaving the ship (but you won’t on your last day). Plan to lose about 2 hours to this process, which happened for Key West. Drink and ice machines were broken in Windjammer the whole trip. The good news is that the ship is going into dry dock on May 22. Hopefully they’ll fix these and other issues. But it really was great overall. Stops were new to us (Nassau, Freeport). It was our second time to Key West (20 years later). Friends said that residents in Nassau constantly bothered them as they walked. We walked all the way to Fort Fincastle and had no problems and felt very safe (it’s a 20-minute uphill walk). Everything that I read about Freeport said that it's an industrial port and not much to do. WRONG!! There are a ton of shops. I'm not sure what else as our plan was to stay on the ship. Once we saw the shop, we left to buy postcards and got back on. The food was good – though not as many options in MDR for me as on previous cruises. but at least the food came out hot (unlike one time on our 2022 RC cruise). I don't know if all RC ships have changed the MDR menus or just Enchantment: on previous cruises, MDR had 2-3 entrees (same steak and chicken) every night if you didn't like the rotating items. This one didn't. What I selected was good. Windjammer had good food and a good variety. The ship is worn in places, but we knew that going in and it wasn’t a problem. The only old-style thing that I didn’t like is that the room had a shower curtain – first time ever and I’ve sailed more than 125 nights. As I was showering, I thought “I hope they switched out this curtain.” I would have requested it if I’d realized. Note that the room had one outlet (2 plugs) at the desk. Storage in our balcony room was very good. Staff were great – very nice. The shows were OK – the opening comedian was much funnier in his closing show. We had seen the juggler on a previous cruise… and he did the same act (including the jokes), though he’s very good. The singers were great when they were doing music from Broadway musicals (we rarely watch the shows RC has created on any ship). Unique3 was good. Solarium was nice, though it was hard to find a lounger. They were marking the chairs of people who hogged chairsand it looked like they had moved their belongings. We enjoyed the activities, though somehow, we didn’t make trivia until the 5th day!
