Perfect cruise for family
We spent New Year on the Liberty of the seas, with my wife and my 9-year old son as well as my in-laws. The Perfect Day at Coco Cay was great, it is a very nice island and the setup is ideal. There are plenty of chairs on all beaches, a lot of games, and the lagoon pool was very attractive. It was perfect the kids club was cool coco cay was perfect the entertainment was cool. there is even a adult zone.the pool was so cool i recommend it. One issue we had is the equipment at the gym. One machine out of 2 is not working properly or has some problems. Also, make sure to check your onboard account as they are error-prone to add some charges that are not justified. The entertainment at the piano bar as well as the Boleros was very nice. We had a great time.

Go with the Flow!!!
I am a first time cruiser, quite a experience. I am in my 80's and walking is a lot if you want to see everything. There is shuttles to take you to the island ventures, and I seen scooters on the ship. I was with a younger group so it was a little bit to much for me to keep up. Everything can be done at your own pace. A lot of very good food of all kinds at the buffet or you can enjoy being pampered at the dining room. We did the dining room for supper. So much to choose from. The island to Nassau was very nice, water was beautiful, not as warm in November as it was. CoCocay was very nice, a lot to do and see. I would go again, as the first timer is a bit over welming. But I would do it again.

Enjoyed the Ship & Itinerary, But Not Cabin
We very much enjoyed this cruise. It was our first time on the Liberty of the Seas. We chose this ship for the New England and Canada itinerary and for the chance to try out the Bayonne, NJ port. The ports of call and ship were great. We would sail from Bayonne again, it was a very easy to drive there and park there. Our only complaints were about the connecting cabin, the hard bed, and Deck 2 and 3 layouts. Our cabin had a connecting door that let light and noise from the other cabin into our cabin - we could hear their conversations clearly, especially the first port day they had an early tour and had breakfast delivered. Someone we met on our cruise had a connecting Promade cabin and didn't have any issues with noise. Maybe our door was missing a weather stripping/gasket? The cabin steward offered to tape around it. I'm not sure if that was done because a few days into the cruise, the people in that cabin were moved for an unspecified mechanical issue. But then we could hear the maintenance team working in there for several days and saw the light they left on in that cabin. The beds in our cabin were hard and uncomfortable. Several people in our FB Sailing Group commented on it. Our steward added a comforter as a padding but it only helped minimally. The other annoyance was the layouts of decks 2 and 3 that had blockages so you couldn't walk from one end of the ship to other without going to a deck higher than Deck 3. This impacted getting to the back of the ship from our forward cabin for the Windjammer (Deck 11), the Main Dining Room (we were assigned a table on Deck 3), or debarking (some ports had a gangway on Deck 1). We planned our own excursions. In Boston we walked to the Harpoon Brewery which is about 1/2 mile away. We took their brewery tour which included sampling their products. It was fun! In Portland, we walked to the Casco Bay Lines and bought tickets for the Mail Boat. It briefly stopped at 5 different islands around Casco Bay. The Captain gave a short, interesting narration during the trip. We made a few other stops but no information was given about which island the boat stopped at. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed our tour which ended up being 3 hours long. After the boat ride, we went to the Chowder House for lunch and waited a few minutes for a table to open on the back deck. The food was yummy and apparently the locals go there to eat. We didn't plan tours for Sydney. We walked around the town, stopped by the oldest Church, and made our way to a craft fair taking place in the local VFW. We went through the port building and found many more craft/vendor offerings inside. In Halifax, we had booked a private 6-hour van tour with 8 others led by Paul McNeil, owner of Halifax Titanic Historical Tours. He is wonderful! Very knowledgable, lots of stories, and took us to a fishing village that wasn't packed with tourists. I highly recommend him and his tour. We weren't able to enjoy our stop in St John's. We had planned to walk through the shipping container shopping area just outside the port. Unfortunatley illness kept us from going out. The entertainment in the main theater and the ice show were great. We saw most of the shows in the main theater. I enjoyed Saturday Night Fever production and The Modern Gentlemen group. The piano man in the Schooner Bar was sick for the first few days of our cruise. By the time he started performing, we were fans of Timmy Peet the guitarist in the Pub and spent a few nights listening to him perform.
