Thank you Azamara Pursuit

Our cruise on the Azamara Pursuit around New Zealand and Norfolk Island was fabulous. The staff on Azamara always seem to go above and beyond to make every passengers trip special. Our cruise was an intensive cruise of New Zealand taking in the sites of both North and South Islands. This was a lovely itinerary with quite a few non tender ports. Although, on all tender ports staff were there to help every person who wanted to go ashore to achieve it. We found ourselves doing the cruise in reverse as the captain made the decision to keep us away from bad weather which worked to perfection. Again Azamara’s staff made sure that White Night and the two brunches we had went without a hitch. So much more work for all!! We ate in Discoveries Restaurant in the evening which always had classic favourites along with plenty of options for all and a taste of the world menu which changed every day. The waiters are so organised, friendly and just want you to enjoy your experience with them. Thank you Azamara for another unforgettable trip

Outstanding experience with Azamara

Azamara went above and beyond to make this a memorable and exciting cruise. The onboard lecture series was first rate. The culinary team conducted several special events from BBQs poolside to evening under the stars poolside, to a spectacular destination Bali buffet with an entire tuna, local exotic fruits, roast suckling pig, etc. Just amazing--and very impressive. The food in the main dining room was always top quality as was the food in the buffet that had a rotating ethic feature every night, always well prepared with great variety. The immersion experiences were also really wonderful from Australian aboriginal music to a gorgeous dance and native instrument performance in Bali with local performers. The staff was universally courteous, hard working, helpful, and very good at their jobs and provided above par service. The smaller ship is so nice--no standing in long lines, no packed elevators. The inclusive nature of Azamara avoids all the constant nickel and diming you get on other ships. Just very impressed.

Azamara India/Sri Lanka Value

Originally, a Dubai to Singapore cruise with multiple stops in the Middle East and India, the embarkation was changed to Port Louis, Mauritius, going directly to only one port in India (Cochin, Kerala), with the remaining stops unchanged. The itinerary change resulted in a excellent and affordable value, as I got a cabin upgrade and plentiful onboard credit which paid for all my excursions, specialty meals, chef's table and internet. Embarkation was one of the fastest and most efficient I've ever seen. On this cruise, the Main Dinning Room was quiet, with only a few dozen folks each night I ate in the dinning room. On occasion, service was slow, one night, in particular, I had to complain after waiting forty two minutes for my supper, despite only a handful of passengers in the dinning room. They then promptly brought me my meal. It seems most passengers and staff were above deck for a special event that night. There were several special starlight suppers and events on the deck during the cruise, including White Night, a "Diwali" night experience (albeit a month late), and a Sri Lanka night with live performers from Colombo on board. While I mostly ate in the dinning room or specialty restaurants, the buffet was exceptionally good. Kerala and Sri Lanka were beautiful and the ship overnighted in Cochin and Colombo. During an excursion in Colombo, I was left behind by the tour bus at a museum. Museum security staff called the Azamara emergency number on the back of my key card, and in a few minutes, a van came to pick me up and take me to catch up with the tour bus at the next stop. Kudos to Azamara for quick resolution. The Udalawale Elephant Park safari was fun. We saw elephants, foxes, crocodiles, peacocks, water buffalo, monitor lizards, monkeys, and more. George Town, Penang, Malaysia is always nice to walk around town, good food, sites, don't really need to take an excursion. Kuala Lumpur is a great city, I took the bus in to Pavilion Mall and met KL friends for lunch in Chinatown. Singapore is always a great city to visit.
