ONBOARD EXPERIENCE:

What languages are spoken on board?

MSC Cruises communicates in six main languages: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Materials like menus and cabin booklets are provided in your preferred language based on your booking.

Is there Wi-Fi on board?

Yes! Wi-Fi packages are available on all ships. Visit the ship’s reception or MSC’s website for more details.

Can I smoke on board?

Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is only permitted in designated outdoor areas and casinos (while seated and playing). It is not allowed in cabins, balconies, or non-designated zones. Offenders may be fined or even disembarked.

What is the temperature like on board?

All ships are climate-controlled. Cabins include thermostats so you can adjust the temperature to your preference.

Can I withdraw cash on the ship?

Yes. If you’ve registered a credit card to your onboard account, cash advances are available in onboard currency (EUR or USD), subject to fees.

How do I get around the ship?

A map is available at Reception to help you navigate your floating resort.

DINING, DRINKS & GRATUITIES

Are service charges included in my fare?

Yes. All gratuities and service charges are included in your My Kind of Cruise booking price.

Should I tip individual staff members?

MSC Cruises does not recommend tipping individuals separately.

Will I pay more for products on board?

No. In fact, many products like alcohol, tobacco, and fragrances are duty free, offering savings up to 30% compared to land prices (varies by itinerary and regulations).

Are bar gratuities added automatically?

Yes. Bar purchases incur a gratuity fee:

- 15%: Europe, Emirates, South Caribbean, Red Sea, South America, Far East

- 18%: North America itineraries

SPA, SUN & RELAXATION:

What are the rules for using the spa?

- Access to the MSC Aurea Spa is by appointment only and restricted to guests aged 18+.

- Pregnant guests may not use heat treatments in the Thermal Area.

- Spa services and exclusive solariums with jacuzzi and bar services are available on select ships.

Are sunbeds free and reservable?

Sunbeds are free for all guests but cannot be reserved. Do not leave personal items unattended for more than 30 minutes. Unreturned beach towels may be charged.

PHOTO SERVICES

Is there a photo service on board?

Yes. The Hub - Photo & Digit@l offers:

- Professional cruise and event photography

- Studio-quality portraits

- Photo products (frames, cameras, accessories)

- All-Inclusive Digital Photo Packages – downloadable during your cruise only

Can I get my photos after the cruise?

No. Digital photos must be downloaded before disembarkation.

HEALTH, SAFETY & ACCESSIBILITY

Are medical services available on board?

Yes. Every ship has a Medical Centre, open daily and 24/7 for emergencies.

Are vaccinations required?

Check with your national health service before travelling. MSC is not responsible for guests denied port entry due to missing vaccinations.

Are assistance dogs allowed?

Only recognised assistance dogs are permitted, with prior approval at booking.

LOST & FOUND, POST & FLOWERS

What if I lose something on board?

Contact Guest Services or Reception. After your cruise, email: customerservice@msccruises.co.uk

Can I send mail during my cruise?

Yes. Visit the Information Office. They’ll handle postage and send items via local port representatives.

Can I order flowers?

Yes! Make any occasion special by ordering fresh flowers through the onboard Information Office.

MONEY & TRAVEL:

Can I travel with large amounts of cash?

If travelling within the EU and carrying €10,000 or more, you must declare it at border control. Check with embassies or travel agents for other country-specific regulations.

Are animals allowed on board?

No pets are allowed, except for approved assistance dogs.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Can I throw items overboard?

Absolutely not. Disposing of items at sea is dangerous and strictly prohibited. Guests violating this policy may face serious penalties.

What about general littering?

Please help us protect the sea by using appropriate bins and avoiding littering.

VISITORS & SECURITY:

Can I invite friends onboard during my cruise?

No. For security reasons, visitors are not allowed on board.

How do I know which cruise terminal I am sailing from?

All the details for reaching your ship, port and terminal will be sent in your final documents, which will be emailed 7-14 days before departure
