FAQ: P&O Cruises - Web Check in

P&O Cruises now make your journey smoother from the very start, since they rolled out their new online check-in facility that is designed to enhance efficiency and reduce time spent in the cruise terminal.

Following a successful pilot, the feature is now being introduced across all applicable bookings, giving guests more control and flexibility before they set sail.

What can you do with online check in?

With the new web check-in process, you can now complete important steps ahead of your departure from the comfort of your home. Simply visit checkin.pocruises.com and log in using:

- First Name

- Surname

- Date of Birth

- Booking Reference

Once logged in, you’ll be able to:

- Enter passport details for each guest in your booking

- Register a payment card for onboard spending – either one card for all guests or individual cards per guest

- Assign the payment method to each guest (note: all children must have a card assigned)

- Download your boarding pass once check-in is complete

This process not only speeds up your terminal experience but lets you start your holiday sooner – with more time to relax, explore, and enjoy life at sea.

My middle name is not displaying during online check-in. Will this be a problem?

No need to worry. As long as your full name is correctly displayed on your booking, the absence of a middle name during check-in will not affect your embarkation.

I’m unable to pre-register my payment card online. What should I do?

Some card issuers may not be compatible with the online system. If you’re having trouble, try using a different card. Alternatively, your card can be registered during embarkation at the cruise terminal.

Do I need to check in twice for back-to-back cruises?

No, you won’t need to repeat the process. If you’re enjoying two consecutive cruises on the same ship, the onboard reception team will take care of everything, including providing new cruise cards and updating your onboard account.
