Fantastic Cruise for Adults and Teens
We just returned from our cruise on the Equinox. Overall the experience was perfect for us. We brought our 15 and 23 year old with us. Our 15 year old connected with a nice (well behaved, seemingly responsible and fun) group of teens she hung out with most of the time. They were in and out of the teen club and she had good things to say about the activities and staff there. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite which, if you can do it, do it! The room was amazing with more than enough space for the four of us. The suite staff (Kenneth was our butler and Tetiana was our statroom attendant) were attentive, amazing and very friendly. The Retreat concierges were also incredibly attentive and made every request a reality. One of the perks was the inclusive dining. We enjoyed Luminea, mostly for breakfast and two dinners. We went to Le Petit Chef but found it a bit gimicky. The food was good but we would probably skip it next time. Murano was incredible! The food, service and presentation were beyond compare. We ended up eating there three times and they were very accommodating of adding reservations for two nights we had not initially reserved. We are Jewish, and I requested Challah's for Shabbat which they brought to our table. The common areas were clean and comfortable. My wife and I spent most of our time at the Retreat sundeck. Our kids stayed by the pool which was more lively. Both areas were great. We really enjoyed the cruise and would not hesitate booking this ship again.

Try to limit the sea days to two or less.
Beautiful ship. Very elegant. Not much to do on sea days. Food was not that special nor were the cabins. Very old crowd and not many kids. Overall I enjoyed but its better when you have more port days. Loved having drinks on the lawn. The Lepite chef was very entertaining but the food was just ok. It was a seven day cruise with three port days. Key West was great. Coco cay was also great. The Bahamas however has a new cruise port. Its massive and is like Disney world. The bad part is that 6 ships were there and it was super crowded. No-one leaves the cruise port and the real town is now deserted and kind of seedy. 15 years ago it had vibrant shopping and bars on Bay street but now its only decent directly across from the cruise terminal. Other than that I would rather have 4 ports on a seven day cruise. We still had a great time and do enjoy Celebrity.

Celebrity Equinox, Nice.
This was our second cruise on Celebrity's Equinox and the first on Celebrity out of Port Canaveral. The entire experience, from embarkation to dining and enjoying the ship to disembarkation was excellent. The ship was in excellent shape, although an older ship, it looked pretty new. Embarkation: Port Canaveral is easy to access for cruise ship boarding. Terminal one, designed for larger ships, is easy to enter and board from. My wife uses an electric scooter. The terminal entry and ramps were routine for the scooter. Embarkation took only a few minutes with minimal waiting Celebrity does allow access to cabins upon boarding to drop carry-ons and to get room keys. An A+ feature. Immediately after boarding we signed on to Wi-Fi (excellent quality) and stopped by our designated location for safety drill check-in. No waiting for either. Suggestion: Research the processes and locations for the safety drills, Wi-Fi signup and lunch options for boarding day. Life will be a breeze and the cruise will be off to a good start. The ship: The Equinox has been well maintained. It is hard to find anything that shows its age. We do know, and have witnessed Celebrity's quality inspection and the results are obvious. Dining: We had a Celebrity suite so we ate many of our meals in the Luminae dining room. Reservations are not taken and not needed. We do dine early but never had to wait. The dining room staff from the receptionist to all the waiters are experienced professionals. Entrees included Lobster roll, filet mignon, ribeye, salmon, cod, lobster, branzino, and tuna. We like to try seafood on the cruises because the chef's seem to be expert in the preparation. Beef, chicken and pasta are also available. Desserts! Baked Alaska and cherries jubilee were my favorites. We also had breakfast and most lunches in the Luminae. We do like the Sushi on Five Asian restaurant and had lunch there on a port day. The buffett is also very nice and a great choice for port days.' Entertainment: Live entertainment is available and quite good. We enjoy the music from the atrium the can be seen and heard in the open area. We played in the casino which is filled with modern slot machines. The only downer: Smoking is allowed in the casino. Cabin: We had a Celebrity suite. Nice. Staff: Very good. Butler Kenneth, Luminae receptionist Vida, Luminae waiter Yuda, and all wait staff were in the excellent category Environment: Luxurious, safe, modern and well maintained. Disembarkation: Smooth and fast. Suggestion: Just plan ahead and follow directions. Summary: Excellent ship from an excellent port and an enjoyable experience. We plan to go on the Celebrity Apex out of Port Canaveral later in the year
