First Time Cruiser: 60s
Newbies- Three sisters on our first cruise.
This was my sister's and my first ever cruise so we don't have anything to compare it against, yet. We had a wonderful time, with the staff all friendly and very helpful. Our cabin steward, PJ, was funny and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, getting us extra towels and ice when requested. The ship was impressive and clean. There were staff constantly cleaning, inside and out. The biggest tip I can give is to bring a stack of smaller bills for tipping, which I didn't do and regretted it. The only downside was that the adult pool and hot tub closed at 8pm and the two side deck hot tubs at 10pm. Being newbies we did excursions, ate early, and did evening shows, which didn't leave much time to use some of the amenities. We will plan differently next time and maybe stay on the ship one of the docked days.

WOW MSC SEASHORE... AMAZING
I have been loyal to Royal Caribbean for the last 15 years and cruised Wonder of the Seas in September of 2024, diamond plus members and we will never cruise Royal Caribbean again... MSC Seashore was a STUNNING ship, food was so much better that Royal Caribbean even there shows were better then what Royal offers, and much better quality...We have booked the new ship MSC World ... BYE-BYE ROYAL CARIBBEAN... HELLO MSC... so glad that we gave you a shot..e also have recommend msc to friends and family and they also have agreed MSC Seashore was so much better, food quality, and variety was incredible, entertainment and show were so good, and the interior of the ship was STUNNING.....Staff was very knowledgeable about the ship, and the answer was yes any time we asked for something...Rooms were very clean and mattress was firm. We can't wait for the new ship in April 2025.. See you then..

First experience on MSC and we’re doing it again
Assigned manhattan restaurant Different experience than cruises have experienced on other lines. One waiter assigned to number of tables. Takes orders and brings out each course one by one to each table. Much calmer than massive servers and assistant servers clanging plates and running about, Husband ordered 2 entrees and told there would be 5 charge. We each ordered salads and Aan appetizer, no prob After dinner we heard music close by as meandered into the cabaret theatre, what a peasant surprise Stayed for about 40 mins. Walked around ship for few and there were 2 other areas with live music. Looking forward to ocean cay tomorrow. Prepaid $20 for an umbrella rental. If you wait till on the ship the cost would be $29, Walked off the ship at 9:30-Picked up our umbrella on the island at the excursion stand on the island at the rental center which is labeled excursions There are two excursion areas. First way right after the transportation area and the second near Bimini beach. There are trolleys going around the island but nothing is a long walk (wore sneakers and brought flipflops) My husband liked the lagoon thought it was warmer and the even had umbrellas set up. We found a spot but after a moment I realized in would not have been happy spending our day there 1) it was a breezy and cooler day but there did not seem, to be a breeze in the lagoon area 2) the water, though beautiful Caribbean blue seemed was more like a lake 3) the view across the lagoon was of more chaise lounges and umbrellas. (I realize this is personal choice and I am sure the lagoon has been a great day for some) So he jumped on his phone and I took a walk to seek out a more inviting area over the bridge. (When crossing the bridge dont forget to look for the peaceful sun bathing iguanas) Following the path the beautiful beach on what I think is the west side of the island turned out to be Bimini Beach. In my opinion it was just what I hoped. I saved two chairs and was excited to retrieve my hb and head there. It was a cooler Jan day so we did not remove our snorkel gear from the backpack that we lugged. But as others suggested was sure glad we had our water shoes packed. There were two food trucks on Bimini but when lunchtime rolled around I wanted to check out the variety of the buffet. We waited maybe 20 mins on line for the buffet and it was worth it. The food was pretty good. Along side the line is an express line with 0 wait for hotdogs, burgers and pre-maid hero’s easy to go back as we decided to share a hotdog for dessert..,well a second dessert. It was nice that, even though it was crowded there were plenty of tables an available. We stayed on the beach till around 4. Planned to head back in the am but the winds were picking up and the captain announced that we’d be leaving Ocean Cay at midnight instead of noon the following day. We did not go to the evening dance party on Ocean Cay as it was very cold. I am happy to say we did see the lighthouse lightshow that began around 6:30. Yes it’s been fixed! Lasted around 7 minutes and was beautiful and mesmerizing. Had I not read the cruise boards I would not have known to look out for it. It would have been nice if there was an announcement On way to our 8 pm dinner enjoyed upbeat fun music by a talented group in the atrium. Again a nice thing is that because the ship is so large and so filled with entertainment things never feel overcrowded. I would give the entertainment a solid 5 stars We stopped by the cabaret theatre for a few minutes as we were a bit early and the Manhattan restaurant was not yet open. We were treated to karaoke singers. The second on, a young dude who exhumed energy and passion delivered what some might have called an offensive shocking song, simply captivated the entire theatre. Internet and phones and tv It was with strong intentions that I did not sign up for a data package needed a break off the calls and email grid for at least a few days. Put our phones on airplane mode but still getting texts, slack messages and my husband even getting bleacher report messages. People on this cruise board have been generous sharing info to help make our experience more enjoyable - by writing this a little each day with the intention of publishing when home, I hope to do the same. The tv does play cnn, the food network, two children’s channels and a few options for programs in different languages. We have a lot of movies that we’d like to see so I downloaded some onto my personal computer (Amazon prime has an app for Macs) and brought along an hdmi cord. This worked perfectly. I also do all my reading on my iPad and have other apps and movies downloaded. Unfortunately when I used the hdmi with adapter on the pad the screen replicated in pink. Theatre We were able to make reservations for productions on day one for all of thru in the Madison Theater productions. Glad we did so because as the week unfolded the theatre productions were fully booked. Day 3 Journey was 1st production we were able to book for Tuesday and we were wow’d by the talented singers, dancers and choreography. The performance started pat 9:30 and finished at 10:10. When we walked out thru casino we stopped to listen to a talented band play some Elvis. Walked thru the casino and in the Atrium the Columbian band was rocking the crowd with familiar tunes. When they finished we watched a fun dance competition. We are enjoying the continuous entertainment and appreciate that there is so much going on simultaneously which means there’s something special happening for everyone’s interest. The lively evenings and phenomenal performances all around the ship exceeded any cruise ship we have encountered. MSI is working hard to break into the US market and if they keep this up I believe they will Succeed at a rapid pace. Most people we chatted with were cruising MSI for the first time and nobody was complaining! We did a MSC Voyager category match and started as Silver Voyagers. This was pretty cool as it bumped us another $100 future on board credit as we booked a future cruise while on board. (This is one area that could use improvement we chose the future cruise with one gentleman but went to put the deposit down a FW hours later with another woman, I asked when he’d be back and was told they all worked together and the team got credit not the individual). She told us about the extra credit but he did not. I had to ask about selecting a cabin. Their attitude was more like they were just doing us a favor. This is the only dept that truly disappointed me. When we returned we spoke with our T.A. As it was auto transferred over and she helped us find and change the itinerary.. And though the ship is at capacity we seem to find a spot without any place to enjoy. Exception: The cold front is here and the outdoor pools and area are too cold to spend much time so the jungle pool area was a zoo so we simply stayed away and took the tune to explore the ship.
