FAQ: P&O - Drinks Packages
Whether you’re craving a morning coffee, a poolside mocktail, or a sophisticated cocktail at sunset, P&O Cruises offers a range of drinks packages to suit every taste and style of holiday. Here’s everything you need to know.
What drinks packages are available?
P&O Cruises offers four distinct drinks packages, available on cruises of 5 nights or more:

Ideal for those who enjoy non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day: regular and large draught soft drinks (on tap)

- Deluxe Package: £60.50 per person, per day

Can I choose different packages for each guest in my cabin?
Unfortunately, no. If there are two or more guests aged 18 or over in a cabin, all adults must purchase the same drinks package. Sharing or transferring packages is not permitted.
However, children (17 and under) can have the Refresh Package independently, and this can be purchased separately onboard.
Do I have to buy a drinks package?
Unfortunately, no. Drinks packages are entirely optional. Guests can choose to pay for drinks individually via their onboard account.
How do I purchase a drinks package?
You can buy your drinks package in one of three ways:
- At time of booking: if you book a Select Price or Early Saver fare (on cruises of 5 nights or more sailing on/after 1 March 2024), you can add the Classic Drinks Package and get a 10% discount.
- Via My P&O Cruises: up to three days before departure. A 10% discount also applies here.
- Onboard: packages can be purchased during the first two days of the cruise (note: onboard purchases are not discounted).
If you booked directly through us, you can still purchase a package via My P&O Cruises.

How do I use my drinks package onboard?
If you purchased a drinks package in advance, your cruise card will feature a sticker that identifies your chosen package. Present your cruise card each time you order a drink.
Are there any limitations?
Yes, all drinks packages come with the following rules:
- Only one drink may be ordered at a time.
- A 15-minute interval is required between ordering drinks.
- Alcoholic packages are capped at 15 alcoholic beverages per 24-hour period.
- The package cannot be shared or transferred between guests.
What’s excluded from the drinks packages?
While the packages are generous, the following are not included:
- Premium drinks above the package limit
- Bottles of wine or spirits
- Mini-bar items
- Room service drinks
- Vending machine items
- Specialty coffee sizes beyond “small”
- Drinks purchased during shore excursions
However, with Classic and Deluxe Packages, a 20% discount applies to excluded items.
Are there any offers for children?
Yes. If a Classic or Deluxe Package is purchased by adults in a cabin, children aged 17 and under will automatically receive the Refresh Package free of charge.
