Great experience overall
Our experience aboard the Carnival Conquest Cruise Line was phenomenal! From the moment we stepped on board, we were greeted by the warmest and most welcoming staff we've ever encountered. Everyone—from the housekeeping team to the waitstaff—was incredibly friendly, professional, and always eager to help. The level of service made us feel truly valued and pampered throughout the entire trip. The food on board was a major highlight! Every meal was delicious, with a wide variety of options to please every palate. Whether we were enjoying a gourmet dinner in the main dining room or grabbing a quick bite from the buffet, the quality and flavor were consistently outstanding. The ship itself was vibrant, clean, and full of fun activities and entertainment. We genuinely didn’t want the cruise to end! Carnival Conquest exceeded all our expectations and delivered a fantastic vacation experience. We can’t wait to sail with them again! Thank you!

The Emerald Sun Staff Was OUTSTANDING!!!
We were on the Rhine River cruise from 4/2-12/25. We started on the Emerald Sun and then had to switch ships to the Emerald Destiny due to low river levels by mid week. Comparing the two ships, the Sun was far and away the better crew and staff. The chef was awesome, the wait staff (Dragon, Jr., Adin & Jaleena) were incredible. We NEVER had to ask to have our dishes removed or our glasses refilled. On the Destiny, that was a daily occurrence. Our Cruise Director, Nina, was an OUTSTANDING individual. She handled everything that was thrown at her, from creating new tours, making our ship switch absolutely seamless & always keeping her winning personality in tact. James, the Entertainment Dir. was fabulous as well. He has the PERFECT personality for his job. They both accompanied us to the Destiny which was comforting for us. The Sun was AWESOME.! The Destiny crew wait staff seemed to be “in training”. A lot of walking around without doing anything. We always had o pile our own plates before they were removed and we ALWAYS had to ask for drinks to be refilled.

Virgin Voyages - What Cruising Should Be
Just got back from our sailing on the Valiant Lady,(April 11-16, 2025) sailing out of Miami to Puerto Plata and Nassau. We were so impressed, we’ve already booked another sailing for next year in Alaska. Embarkation and Disembarkation were very very quick and easy. No huge lines, everything just moved super fast. The ship itself was stunning—sleek, modern, and packed with cool spaces to chill or party. We loved the style of the ship, super classy, no multi-color clown themes here. As far as the different atmospheres on the ship, it has something for everyone. If you want to party, it’s absolutely there, but if you want to just chill and watch the water, more than enough spaces to just take it down a notch. Very impressive. We found ourselves several times at The Dock. Very chill area with its own bar, and very comfortable seating and lounging. Watching the aft of the ship is just relaxing. Additionally, the cabins are really great. We had a Sea Terrace at the very forward of the ship. Plenty of space to just hang out, and the terrace was excellent. Shower could’ve been a little bigger, but I can’t slight them, I’m 6’3”. In every interaction, the crew were so warm, attentive, and genuinely excited to make our trip special. Whether it was remembering my coffee order at the café or hyping up the crowd at the deck parties, they brought such good vibes. The food was next-level. I’m still thinking about the fresh poke bowls, decadent truffle pasta, and those desserts that were almost too pretty to eat (but I devoured them anyway). Every restaurant had its own vibe, and the variety meant I never got bored. No sad buffet lines here—just legit culinary experiences. My only gripe? The WiFi was a bit spotty, and the cost to upgrade to a faster plan felt steep. I wanted to check our home cameras, and the Premium WiFi wasn’t making it happen. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. I imagine when they get full Starlink, it’ll won’t be an issue. This was the first cruise we’ve taken in about 10 years. The reason for that was the previous experience on a Norwegian ship was one I don’t care to remember. Let me tell you, what Virgin is doing is not what the other cruise lines do. This is something very special here, and it shows in how happy people are on the ship. Overall, this cruise was a blast—amazing ship, top-notch crew, and food that’s worth every calorie. Virgin Voyages, you’ve got a fan for life!
