Thank you Celestyal for a fantastic time!!
We just returned from the 4 night Aegean cruise and it was fantastic. Everything from check in to the cabin, food, excursions was perfect. The staff were friendly and pleasant and we will definitely take another one. We took the excursions offered by Celestyal as it was our first cruise and the offerings plus embarking and return, the English speaking guide were friendly and accommodating to the various needs of the guests. Embarking - simple and effective. Our luggage arrived pretty quickly. Food- we only took the buffet alternating between the two restaurants and found the food tasty with adequate choices. Room- we had a balcony suite which we found to be comfortable and adequate. The beds were made twice a day with the staff friendly and responsive. Drink package- we did take the drink package and since we are not big drinkers we felt it was sufficient for our needs. Disembarking- this was also very quick and efficient and luggage was already at the terminal.

Great Ship and Crew!
We recently returned from a four night Aegean cruise, which was part of a land/sea vacation through a tour company. After reading previous reviews, I was prepared to be disappointed. We have taken three big ship cruises and one river cruise, but this was our first mid-sized ship cruise. The ship was recently remodeled, so everything was new and clean. The cabin was roomy; we had a window cabin, and it provided a great view. The bathroom had shelves, which provided plenty of storage for toiletries. Unlike the big ships, food is not available 24 hours a day. There were several restaurant choices, and we only went to the included two...didn't feel like paying extra for dinner. The sit down restaurant was nice because it avoided the food frenzy of the buffet lines, and the dinner was more upscale. We opted for the buffet line most of the time because of convenience. There was a wide selection of food, and the staff was incredibly helpful. Examples: I sat down and realized I hadn't grabbed silverware; they quickly got some for me. At dinner they asked if they could bring wine or beer. As soon as I was finished using a plate/bowl, they removed it. Throughout the ship we were met with smiles and assistance from the staff. We enjoyed the smaller ship because we never felt crowded. We didn't participate in activities because we went on excursions every day, some of which were pretty tiring for us seniors. But we did observe other passengers enjoying the pools and having a great time joining in the fun. Another thing that was nice: there were drinking water stations throughout the ship so you could fill water bottles. (While the tap water in Greece is safe for bathing and brushing teeth, it is not recommended for drinking.) If you are traveling with children, there were activities for the children. One thing for all ship travelers to be aware of: when the captain says that all aboard is at 5:30, you better be on board. One couple was left behind at a port; the captain announced their names in case they had boarded without scanning their room card, then waited ten minutes. Our tour director informed us the next day that they were left behind.
