Tulip Time Vacation - Windmills Canals and Tulips
This cruise exceeded our expectations. Tulips, windmills and amazing scenery. We learned so much history about the Netherlands and Belgium. From large towns like Amsterdam and Rotterdam to smaller villages like Veere and Willemstad you enjoy the beauty presented to you in each region. Cruising in and our of the different locks offers seeing how the Waterways operate to arrive in another region. Thank you Avalon for new Adventures that went above and beyond what we expected on this vacation. It was so much fun riding bikes from Middleburg to Veere with our Adventure host. We really got to ride through the fields. Highly would recommend Tulip Time for your next vacation #AvalonInView Great trip. The tour guides were very informative and they had different levels for slow, medium and fast walkers. You cover the same information but at an appropriate pace. The entertainment on the ship was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this trip

We are now loyal to MSC
We loved every minute of this cruise. Service was outstanding from all crew members and food was best we have had on a cruise. We didn't have high expectations but we were totally blown away by everything on this ship. Embarkation was quick but they did have us waiting outside to queue. It was covered but could be an issue on a hotter day. We did have lots of problems with getting checked in on their website but a quick call to Customer Service resolved it. You can drop off your luggage in your room as soon as you get onboard and then get something to eat. The buffet is huge with tons of seating. Even on that day, we were able to find a seat and eat in pretty short order. We always found the buffet to have lots of choices and never had any trouble finding seats. Bar staff also does cappuccinos and they are not to be missed. We ate in Tribeca dining room 5 nights. Service, food quality and portions were perfect. We did the 3 restaurant dining package (Butcher's Cut, Hola Cantina and Ocean Cay). Hola was a disappointment but the other two were fabulous. The ship is so well laid out that it never felt crowded. We had no problem getting a chair at the adult pool and bar service came through regularly. Kids' water park was awesome. Every staff member we dealt with was friendly and made sure we had what we wanted. Unlike Carnival, getting a drink made the way we wanted it was never a problem. I really hope this doesn't change once they initiate the 15 drink limit. We had a Deluxe Balcony room on 12. We were able to get an elevator most days with less than 1 minute wait. Most folks figured out the smart elevators after the first day. The shows in the Madison Theatre were amazing. Unbelievable talent. The ballroom dancers were my absolute favorite. We were Carnival people and only took this cruise based on cost. But we will be MSC people from now on. Here's a few tips if you decide to try MSC: 1. Before booking, do a Status Match (other cruise lines, hotel loyalty programs). Once received you will get discount on booking and onboard purchases. 2. Purchase the Unlimited Digital Picture package. Get your picture taken at every spot. You can download them all before end of cruise. Price is $199 and includes everyone in your room (I status matched at Silver which took $40 off that price) 3. Stick with the main dining rooms. We bought the 3 restaurant dining package. The food was very good but so was the complementary dining so no need to spend. 4. Brooklyn Cafe is the best spot. Bartenders are excellent and views are amazing. 5. Get the Burger on Sea Day Brunch. Amazing! 6. See all the shows but book them on the app the first night. It's not a large theatre for a ship that size. 7. Do the Lucha Libre excursion in Cozumel. So fun!

Great time on my first cruise for a wedding.
This was my first cruise ever and i thought it was great. Yes there were a lot of kids as it was spring break and sometimes it got crowded in the common areas but it was still a great time. There were constant activities every day from live shows, trivia, game shows and more. We were on this cruise for a friends wedding and it was beautiful. The staff did such a great job for all aspects of the wedding. The captain performed the ceremony and fun was had by everyone in attendance. The housekeeping staff was great and very accommodating. Our servers in the main dining room were the best. Especially "Mega". I thought the food quality was good. There were different choices each night and they made sure to ask about allergies for everyone on the first night. They also had friendlier desserts for diabetics with "no sugar added". Overall the main dining room was my favorite place to eat. They also had other options like the buffet on the Lido deck, guys burger joint, the blue iguana cafe, a deli, and a pizza place. Our cabin was a perfect size for the three of us. Yes it showed its age with some discoloring on the walls and ceiling but we used the cabin to sleep. I didnt care if the wall was discolored as everything was clean and well kept. Other areas of the ship may have been showing its age but we had a great time and i am already looking at cruises for next year.
