Ambience
Here she is, our flagship of the fleet, our first lady of the sea: Ambience. Derived from the French word for ‘surrounding’, our ambition at Ambassador is to create the optimum atmosphere onboard; one that brings out the best in each of us. The perfect ambience. With an average 1,400-guest capacity and careful configuration, she offers both a feeling of spaciousness and freedom, whilst retaining that sense of intimacy and camaraderie we each crave; it’s whatever makes you comfortable.Entertainment-wise, she really will spoil you for choice. Let your hair down at the Observatory and bring out your finest ensembles for The Palladium. Whether you like it shaken or stirred, she has numerous bars to whet your whistle, including Raffles Bar, Botanical Lounge, SW19 and The Purple Turtle Pub.Dining options are plentiful at our Buckingham restaurant or the Borough Market, with plentiful cuisine options, and for those wanting to soak in nature’s glory, we have our glorious Alfresco Grill. Wining and dining are more than fine at Saffron*, Sea & Grass* or our deluxe Chef’s Table*, where we offer a speciality gastronomic experience that’s not to be missed.Put your best cards forward at Aces & Eights bridge and card room and the Ambassador Casino, or revive and renew at the gym and Wellness Centre. Other facilities include Kapoor’s, our onboard crafting studio, Brontë’s library, the shopping galleria, not to mention a swimming pool, two hot tubs and a large screen for outdoor movies. 2-5 Cruises: 60s
Best cruise for parents
Review from my Mom This was my first cruise experience, and I will always remember it as one of the best journeys of my life. Even though I do not speak English fluently, the ship staff on Ambience by Ambassador Cruise Line made me feel right at home. There were wonderful crew members who spoke Hindi and Gujarati, which made everything so easy and comfortable for me. A special thanks to Miss Shubhangi Jadhav and Miss Mansi Bandre. As a diabetic, I have specific food needs, and they made sure that I always had simple and healthy Indian meals like dal, rice, salad, and more. Their kindness, patience, and dedication touched my heart. Every staff member on the ship was polite, caring, and extremely helpful. Even when the sea was rough, the crew made sure we were safe and comfortable. The excursions at every port were well-arranged, and the guides were very friendly and informative. Thank you to the entire team for such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. Feedback from Nathabhai Dodia(My father) Cruising for the first time in my life, I did not know what to expect—but my journey on Ambience with Ambassador Cruise Line was truly amazing. I was especially impressed by how much care the staff took of us. I do not speak much English, but with crew members who spoke Gujarati and Hindi, I felt no barrier at all. I want to specially thank Miss Shubhangi and Miss Mansi for going out of their way to make sure I was looked after. Being diabetic, I need to eat carefully—and every day, they made sure I got proper food. They treated me like family. The whole crew was outstanding. Even during a stormy night, the captain handled the ship so well that we didn't even realize there was any issue until the next morning. All the excursions arranged were excellent, and the local guides made our sightseeing fun and enjoyable. Thank you for this lifetime memory. From You (Recommendation to Others): As a son, I cannot thank Ambassador Cruise Line and the crew of Ambience enough for making my parents' first cruise experience so unforgettable. They were on the 17-night Norway cruise from 20th March to 6th April 2025, and everything—from the service to the excursions—was beyond expectations. I highly recommend this cruise line to any Indian family thinking about a holiday at sea, especially if you are sending elderly parents. The ship is elderly-friendly, diabetic-friendly, and has a crew that truly cares. My parents are now booked for the 33-night cruise starting 5th May, and we are looking forward to it already. A special thanks to Miss Shubhangi Jadhav and Miss Mansi Bandre for their outstanding care and hospitality. You made a difference. If you're thinking about a cruise for your parents—Ambience is the one. No second thoughts.

First Time Cruiser: 60s
First cruise with Ambassador
First time with Ambassador cruises, I must write that everything was excellent, from embarkation, which was quick and easy, on board in 5mins. The restaurants and food were all fantastic with so much choice, we tended to go for breakfast in the main restaurant and have dinner in the Borough Market at a time that suited us better, it was the same food as in the main restaurant. The entertainment team were all great, led by Adam, but special mention must go to William, Will, Shalei & Emma who really made the cruise for us, from quizzes, to bingo, to gameshows to plays on stage and dancing in the Observatory late at night. We did plenty of trips, with the hi-light being the dog carting in Alta, and the Arctic train ride in Narvik. Our only complaint and it was only one was the trip to see the Northern lights in Alta, not because it rained and we did not see them as it is not guaranteed but it cost £250 a couple which we felt was a bit extortionate, otherwise the cruise was excellent, and Norway is a beautiful country. We were very impressed with all the staff who worked extremely hard so all the guests could enjoy themselves, special mention also to our cabin person Andy, who was efficient and helpful. We have already booked another cruise for next year and cannot wait to come back

Old School Cruising - Relaxing & Comfortable
It was a last-minute choice of cruise but we fell on our feet. Ambassador is targeted at the over 50s and most cruises are adult only. The Ambiance is not the most modern ship but it is immaculately maintained with the crew doing constant work to ensure it stays that way. Yes, some of the windows were blown and foggy, as many others have mentioned, but it made no impact to our holiday. We were looking for a cruise where we could just relax and enjoy the sights. We'd both had recent health issues and needed pampering plus time to recover. We're not the most fashionable couple and dressing up for meals and events just did not appeal. Thankfully we got exactly what we needed and wanted. We only went to the main dining room once and it was excellent. But sticking to our relaxed approach, we mainly kept with the buffet restaurant. The range & quality of food was excellent and the staff were so friendly & helpful. Our room was spacious for an outside cabin @ 19sq m. The washroom with shower was a practical size, especially as I'm 6'2'' and not slim. The available storage was impressive with two wardrobes and many drawers. The TV was pretty useless I both channels & image quality. Hair dryer tried to attack my wife, thankfully she'd brought her own as well. The rooms are old-fashioned in style but all the practicality is there and they are in a good state. Embarkation & disembarkation at Tilbury was a breeze. Parking so near and taking our bags from us on arrival to the car park made boarding so easy. We chose to take our bags off at the end of the cruise so we were away very early, but still with a full breakfast first of course. We attended only a few events. The in-house entertainment team were all very keen and energetic. Guest entertainment was of a high quality and we found them very engaging. Norway was, as ever, very picturesque and friendly. Due to the smaller size of the ship we never needed tenders and were very close to the locations we visited. All locations were easily within walking distance. Bergen Decided to rain all day, but even then we got to know the local shops extremely well. We didn't go on any organised excursions, but the feedback seemed positive. I spent the whole holiday in an ankle air boot. I needed a full-body massage to help with muscle pain. It was spot on and kept me going for the rest of the week. I am so grateful to the masseuse for her professionalism & knowledge. We made very little use of the drink venues on board and didn't have a drinks package. We found the buffet to be fine for our drinks needs, plus a fixed-price water package including a water bottle. To summarise, we greatly enjoyed our trip. The food was of great quality & freshness, staff friendly & helpful and fellow passengers a complete mix. For sure, we will be travelling Ambassador again in the future.
