Le Verdon
Le Verdon sur Mer lies close to Bordeaux on the west coast of France. It is resort town and port.
Sights worth a look include the Pointe de Grave which is where the waters of the Ocean and of the Gironde meet and mix in a vast area opposite the coast of Charentes.
The lighthouse of Cordouan and the Fort of Verdon, an impressive assembly of bunkers, surrounded by a moat and is partly camouflaged by plants. Also worth a visit are the large Atlantic beaches and the Estuary of the Gironde with forests and swamps.
